You can go to books by Wilhelm Reich about neurosis and the psychology of fascism, John Bradshaw on the dysfunctional family, the book titled The Betrayal of the Body, and everything by Albert Ellis. A neurotic anger towards life is caused by disciplinarian, authoritarian, rigid lifestyles. A lot of people who carry this anger dont know that its wrong. They think that its morally superior. When they dress it up, theyre not really fooling everyone, but there is a layer of our self-programming that I am becoming more aware of lately that swallows it whole. The power of prayer needs only to work on that layer. Im reading Reich on the Freudian subconscious although I prefer the psychocybernetic models. One way to program it is through ruminations, worry. Another is by positive affirmations. If a person lives on the negative side, the good side of things seems wrong. Their better judgment leans heavily towards destructive means. Anything constructive is suspect. If anything is extremely beneficial, thats only for those who have some kind of moral superiority. Disciplinarian ways of living are the way downhill, such as weve seen with North Korea and some other totalitarian states that have collapsed. Practicing that with the big cat menagerie things is taking the same route downhill for the entire industry. That is why the criminals who we dont speak to do better, as they are wild as all get-out and put on a public pretense like every other criminal organization. They get us to do things to ourselves and each other that destroy us. I dont even know how some of these people manage to function, as they definitely lack the spark to create anything. It takes a lot of propping up and guess what people who tell us we cant do things do. They ask everyone to prop them up. They get all weird, whiny, and violent if you refuse.
