You can see young people everywhere you look. Some are selling peanuts in the market. Others are walking back and forth from school: Tiny young children with their little backpacks and their uniforms, adolescents walking in groups and laughing, university students studying in the day or at night after working. Some boys are in charge of watching over their families’ goats or cows as they search for food and water. Some girls are busy hauling water, pounding the maize into flour, and cooking for the family. Some teenagers are hanging out with friends. The median age in Mozambique is 17 years old, and 75 percent of the population are 29 years old or younger. Please pray for Nyungwe youth. Pray for them to know that God, their Creator, loves them and has a plan for their lives. Lift up believing youth among the Nyungwe. Pray for these young believers not to let anyone look down on them because they are young, but to set an example for other believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.
