You cannot be measured by the love or hate that others show towards you. Nor can your successes, your character or the life that you create for yourself be measured by the love or hate that others show towards you. YOU are the only measure of YOU. The opinions and judgement of others – loving or hateful – are always a reflection of what’s going on inside that particular person. How they feel about themselves, the issues THEY are currently struggling with…they will rarely have anything to do with you. So let any hurtful comments fly right past you; see the judgement of others as nothing more than misjudgment and let it pass like water under a bridge. Remind yourself – this is not my baggage to hold onto. Let it go… Know that it is your love that makes you. The strength with which you stand, the compassion that you show, the joy in your laughter, the kindness you show yourself…these are what make YOU. Other people will love you, hate you, rate you, shake you and even try to break you. But this is irrelevant when you are on the path to creating a life that YOU LOVE.
