You cant solve problems in Memphis if youre a racist asshole- no matter what race you are- and you dont stop crime by carrying a gun and then looking for a fight. Carrying a gun is a right, but it doesnt work well with a weak-minded carrier. It takes more than a positive OR shitty attitude to make a difference in the world- for better or worse- it takes work..and action. Dont tell me your city is better than mine, #1) cuz its not #2) because your reason is favorable demographics. If youre into phrases like favorable demographics, chances are, Im not very into you. Sometimes it seems like the rest of the country doesnt want Memphis, or Tennessee, or the south as a whole to succeed- in reality, even Memphis alone has given the world so many special gifts, coupled with heart and soul. I love Memphis, will live and die here, but Im never going to tolerate stupidity or intolerance. This post isnt necessarily calling out anybody personally. #believememphis
