On 2nd August 2014, JIML solicited two guests(Mr. Siddharth Dwivedi, Ms. Shobhna Sachdeva) to emancipate their knowledge in the fields of Managerial Economics and Organisational Behaviour. Managerial Economics is concerned with the aspects of economics and its tools of analysis which are used in the process of decision making of business enterprise. Mr. Siddharth Dwivedi, EES- Johnson & Johnson, zoomed in the concept of Price Elasticity: An overview of Medical Equipment Industry. The market for health care services is premeditated as an imperfect market and any external energy source is not required to eradicate this problem. He further elaborated demand-supply curve and demand elasticities that measures the change in the quantity demanded of a particular good/services. As the day progressed, Ms. Shobhna Sachdeva, Head- Learning & Development- Aegis Global Esser Group, accentuated on values and human behaviour persisting in an organisation. A personal value is absolute or relative and ethical values, the assumption of which can be the basis of ethical action. A principle value is a foundation upon which other values and measure of integrity is based. She concluded the session by quoting that behaviour cannot be changed in a day.
