You could be a twin or a neighbor!! I cant stand the stupidity. When something doesnt make sense, it just doesnt make any sense. Right or wrong? The left has won their fight on the voter ID. Stupid enough, they used the racism as the grounds for their argument. I just dont seem to get the point behind either, the racism portion of this argument nor the fact that Voter ID would somehow suppress the public. If we look at who wanted this not to be a LAW, are the same people who would rather that voters were complete ignorant and uneducated. They are very left leaning socialist wanna be politicians and the rest just pick up the emotionally laced argument. Lets step back for a moment and take a quick look at this argument. I went to serve on the Jury Duty. The very nice lady, was trying to explain to a guy in front of me, race of both unrelated, that you cannot show anything, but a ID with the picture on it, to be on the jury that you are required to serve. You cannot, CANNOT avoid serving on jury duty, unless you have a few good reasons and even then, they will postpone your service to another date. Now, considering that they force you, in most cases, to serve on Jury Duty and you are entered into the pool of Jury selection process when you register to VOTE, does it make any sense that you are forced to serve having to have a required picture ID for something that you were entered into while registering for something that ID is not required for? Does anyone see a logic in any of this, because while I was on JURY DUTY listening to the argument between a very nice lady and a clueless potential juror, a thought cross my mind, so you need an ID to send someone down the river, but you dont need one to vote for someone who will throw your country down the hill?. Here is another point that was made before, by experts and statistical analysts, if the numbers of voters are greater, the public is usually more educated and more intuited with the candidate that they vote for. The number that are greater in the places where you actually required to show some form of identification and usually those numbers tend to vote to the right. Now, if you pay attention to that little nugget of statistic, who is the one suppressing the vote then and why? Does the voter ID suppress the minorities and therefore under pretense is unfair for democrats or is it the other way around? Well, the statistics speak for themselves and regardless of demographic, the people who are required to vote with the proper identification in any neighborhood and any racial, cultural area, tend to be more educated voters, hence vote on issues and not some uneducated emotions. What does it tell you and about Voter ID issue. My last point in this is that I tend to do this every time. Why, because I want to and because I can. I think I have the right to force this view on those who choose to ignore it. It is not a law in NJ to show your ID, but I resent it. As per my previous example of Jury Duty, where I have to be forced to serve and have to show my ID, I should then be able to show my ID where I it is my right to vote for the candidate to represent me. When I show my ID, in every election, I get the same response I dont need it, to which I always reply I wish you did and I show it to the person again. Never mind that their personal beliefs into some voter suppression and unfair to minorities which I proved to you above not to be true in most every place statistically, but even a simple example would make sense to a most unfair rhetoric driven advocate. Lets say I have a twin and a lot of twins dress, look and even sound the same. Lets say I stop by to vote for a Republican and then my twin brother, in my case, which I dont have, but for the sake of argument, decides that he wants to vote for a Democrat. He shows up and say, hi I am a liberal left wing nut job, who wants to vote today, but he hears something like no, you are lying, because we just saw you and you are a left wing liar, which happens quiet a lot. What do you do then? I mean, the name is different, the last name is the same, but how do they, those I dont need to see your ID folks figure this one out? Do we have to stand next to one another and show them that they are not left wing no ID needed idiots and that they are not seeing doubles or de ja vu? What then? Just curious, how would this no ID required situation resolve itself? Anyone who is old enough to vote and is registered to vote, shouldnt have a problem proving that they are legal to vote, just as they are legal to buy items, serve on Jury Duty, which is part of registering for your voting, and requires ID and many places which have nothing to do with legal problems, but just a simple fact, to prove that you are YOU!! - JD
