You flick a light switch. Unseen to the eye, electrons flow, - TopicsExpress

You flick a light switch. Unseen to the eye, electrons flow, careening from one socket to two wires, reuniting in a final pulsation. All this you cannot see, and in the blink of an eye the invisible becomes materialas light ebbs through the darkness. What do you see? Shadows dance. Inanimate objects are revealed. And you realize you are not alone. How do you feel? The light caresses, cradling you in its clarity. The light is striking, piercing your camera-type eyes that had adjusted to darkness and its obscurity. And then. Then there exists that spot; where the toggle rests between closed and open, clear and seldom seen, brilliant and gloomy. Infinite resistance. An open circuit with a zero current. The instant when you decide to toggle up or down. You choose, and like dominoes everything and everyone thatfollows arises contingently upon the position of the switch. At any moment, you can flick the switch. From dark to light and light to dark, you blink and decide on your perception. Now what? The dark is scary yet comforting, the light iscultivating yet sears. With courage I will one day overcome my fear; with strength I will learn to live in the light. And you?
