You folks read my arguments re demographics often – Democrats are NOT reproducing at anywhere NEAR replacement fertility levels. And I’ve pointed out more than once the Social Security is NOT a pension; it is a transfer of wealth from the young to the old – which is what is was designed to be. The money removed from your paycheck today is already in a check to some senior tomorrow, needed or not (Warren Buffet gets a SS check because...?) Which brings us to this: When YOU are a senior, the only way YOU are going to have SS payments is if there are enough younger folks to provide it. How do we have younger folks? We have children. This seems “duh” but, in fact, is not. Tens of millions of Democrat voters are NOT having kids – yet WILL consume SS... from YOUR kids who ALSO will be trying to raise a family and provide high enough earnings for SS for retired PARENTS. WHY on EARTH should those who CHOSE not to have kids impoverish the kids of others to keep them in the good life? No kids -> NO Social Security. If you aren’t putting in, you don’t get to take out. SIMPLE.
