You gotta love the strategic vision of people in the BDS movement - TopicsExpress

You gotta love the strategic vision of people in the BDS movement who are coming up with ever more effective ways of promoting the movement. From focusing on getting national church bodies to endorse the movement to the brilliant campaign to embargo Israel-owned Zim ships with the help of American unions, they are making greater progress now than ever before. Highlighting the support of many nations as well as the UN for a corporation that profits from the Occupation is another way to bring pressure to bear on Israel and its collaborators. I was very glad to see that my favorite church (because it has no dogma) is now in the midst of an effort to call for divestment from a number of companies profiting from the misery of Palestine, including G4S. Because this is a church that is run on a democratic basis, such a decision must be debated in local and regional conferences before being considered by the National Synod in 2015, but the momentum is clearly for divestiture. nsnbc.me/2014/09/29/united-church-christ-committee-calls-divestment-israel/ Rana Alshami Mohammad S Arafat Mohammed Abbasi Paul Salahuddin Armstrong Paul S Armstrong Mohamed Khalil Mohammad Q.
