You guys!!! Amber Lee Zaccagni just had the BEST idea! We are talking about different action steps for people and a new website and alllllllll these fun ideas, but heres the best one. As an advocate, she wants to create a It Takes a Village program and find 30 monthly donors (the same as the number of mamas in her cooperative) to match a mama and donate $23/month (the average monthly income for our mamas) so people can join the cooperative and be their own type of cooperative! In Uganda, our mamas pool their resources and now we will have people in the US pooling their resources to make a difference! Then, those people can be a part of a FB group for that village and maybe even get cool shirts (with their first months donation)....and Amber would have a fund that continues to grow JUST for the needs of THAT village (water, surgeries, seeds, cows, etc)! How fun is that????? Do you LOVE it? Would you sign up to join a village? ***Yes, I know MOST non profit leaders dont post things like this until its a completely thought through plan and there is a website and great graphics and the whole nine yards.....but Im all about keeping my tribe in the loop. Its way more fun to see something come to fruition if you heard about it the very first day it was an idea, right?
