You guys (SAPOL) are just puppets for the government revenue arm most would agree, as far as road safety is concerned these days. There is no denying there is a massive amount of backlash, disbelief and discontent etc regarding the life saving aspects of speed camera operations that we are constantly fed. Why would you hide your police presence? If you actually showed some presence on the roads, people might actually slow down and behave. But by hiding cameras, all you will do is raise money for the government while the rider or driver continues to speed on down the road, possibly resulting in a road crash, and or death. Wouldnt it be a good bit of PR at least, to actually make public the statistics showing us the direct impact these cameras have had on saving us all from certain death? It would be great to see stats on all locations these life saving cameras operate and how many deaths occurred before and after they have been in operation, as well as monies raised. If the propaganda you and SAGOV pedal is true to your word, you should have no trouble supplying the general public with access to these records. After all, its tax payers money that keeps you all in a job, and the government for that matter. I think you owe it to the public. Show us the stats!
