I thought he was cute every time I went in so eventually I went up to the counter and asked him out. Unfortunately he was in a relationship at the time and apologized for having to decline. About a year later, I was in the diner late one night with one of my friends and one of the cooks came out and sat down next to me in the booth. A bit surprised and a little freaked, he then asked me if I was single. I have no idea why but I was honest and said yes. He told me that the guy that used to work here that I had asked out, came to him months ago and said if you ever see her in here again, call me. I will come from where ever I am. He did that night. And he asked me out. He said he always saw himself with me. We dated a mere 4 months and became engaged. We were engaged for ten months and got married. The church we were married in was across the street from the diner and YES, we ran inside to the counter with me in my wedding dress to take photos before the reception! Just had our 9 year anniversary and two beautiful boys later
