You have THREE more chances to see Returning to Albert Joseph! Audience member Diamond Keener shares her thoughts after seeing the show: New does not have to mean distant from feelings. New does not have to ignore the past. New does not have to be disconnected from our reality, largely budgeted nor does it need to be unintelligible in loftiness. There was every opportunity to make this seamless piece of writing futuristic in emotion and brand new in presentation. But it was presented and played out at the baseline. The Satori Groups Returning to Albert Joseph is a loud response well deserving of a pause for thought in the conversation of what new and new work means. Because the work that sticks out is that which opposes itself, the elegant versus the grotesque, the light versus the deep, the complex versus the simple the future versus the past. It is a push pull effect that wins the quality of timelessness for me when I am witness to it.
