You have a destination to reach, and whether you reach it or not is solely up to you. Your vehicle has gone through the necessary maintenance procedures, and your tank is full. Your GPS or navigation system has been programmed for the quickest route. As you drive, there will be bumps in the road, a few potholes, and probably some road kill. You may even reach a point where youre slowed down by bumper to bumper traffic or are forced to take a detour because of an accident ahead. Dont allow those situations to overwhelm, frustrate, or deter you from reaching your destination. Detour, but dont be deterred. During your journey, you may see the most eye catching billboards, tempting you to momentarily get off your current route to enjoy the things they have to offer. It happens to all of us at some point, weve all gotten side-tracked by the sideshows. No matter how attractive they are are or how much pleasure you experience during your stop, you must remember your purpose for setting out on this journey was to reach your destination, not your distraction. The more time you spend on the sideshows, the more time itll take you to get where youre going. Get back on the road, and keep driving. You may be detoured. You may be distracted, but dont be deterred- your destination awaits. When you reach it, youll realize it was well worth your journey. ~vns
