The season will be even more exciting when you join our private Yahoo NFL Spread League 55. In this league you will not be picking which team will win the game. Instead you will be picking which team will win the game taking the point spread (the “line”) into account. Example: The NY Giants are playing the Bills. The point spread is the Giants -6 (the Giants are favored to win by 6 points). If you pick the Giants to win, they must win by more than 6 points. If you pick the Bills to win, the Bills must lose by less than 6 points (of course, you also win if they win the game outright). A 6 point Giant victory is a 6 point Bills loss, meaning there is a tie and this is no winner. The NFL regular season lasts 17 weeks. The first game of the week is usually Thursday night and the last game of the week is usually Monday night. The selection deadline is 5 minutes before each game. The cost to join the league is $50 – that’s $3 per week! Weekly winners - Each week the team with the most wins will receive $50. The total of the weekly payouts will be $850. Regular season winners – The balance of the joining fees collected will be paid to the 3 teams with the most wins. 1st place will be paid 70%. 2nd place will be paid 20%. 3rd place will be paid 10%.
