You have been spoken for! But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 AMP We are living in the times at I regard the birth pains of the end of all creation! A lot must still happen for the world to end, but not a lot for our days on earth to end. Jesus will come to meet His people and take them to heaven - away from the martyring of earth - and if we want to be part of literal hell on earth, then I suppose we can continue to live a double life, but I believe you and I have been called for more! Just as this scripture says - we are a chose race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, purchased and special to God! We know that the Jewish people are Gods chosen people, but when Jesus came, He died for us too and then the Gentiles (non Jews) were added to the list! What a wonderful thing to do for us! Now it is up to you and I to live as if we come from a Holy household. It is up to us to live like we have been brought up by the Father! It is up to us to walk out of the darkness into His marvelous light! He is knocking on the doors of our heart…waiting for us to open up to Him only, to get ourselves out of and away from the world. To seek Him more than paging through the channels on TV…to seek Him more by way of how we speak, what we think, how we act and how we love! My earthly father certainly had a big influence on who I became in this life - so any mistakes he made, I inherited, any habits he had, I inherited…should this not be the same with God? We should inherit and willfully follow Jesus Christ in ALL our ways! My friend, that one foot in the world approach to your salvation will no longer work! We need to understand this. God want us to be His royal priesthood - those that spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every time we live a double life, we crucify Jesus all over - every un-repented sin, every willful sin we commit says no that You Jesus - we do not appreciate what You did for us on Calvary! I believe we are called for more - I believe 1 Peter 2:9 and I believe it is time to take up our cross of commitment, which starts by loving Jesus more than loving ourselves!
