You have faith, because God gave you faith. Written by: William Wimbs Rom. 12:3..., according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Saint and Sinner alike have faith, because God said he gave every man the measure of faith. Notice God did not say a measure of faith, he said the measure of faith there is only one measure of faith and everyone receives that same measure of faith. He also said every man none excluded. That means if one man has enough faith to believe in Christ, then every man has enough faith to believe, every person has the opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ. So it is not a question of I dont have any faith or I cant believe, but rather I will not believe or I refuse to believe, either way, it is not the lack of faith to believe, but a flat refusal to do so. Gods grace has supplied everything a soul needs to be saved, nothing is missing or left out, the package is complete. I wonder how many people have really looked closely at Eph.2:8? Let us look at it now. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Our scripture says For by grace are ye saved.... This means it is all Gods doing not ours. It tells us it is through faith Faith is the channel by which this salvation comes. Paul further informs us this faith is not of ourselves, the faith has come from God (the measure of faith). According to this verse of scripture all that is left for the soul to do is exercise the faith and accept the gift. My friends salvation cannot be bought nor can it be earned and it is for sure you cannot steal it for it is the gift of God to us, it is completely free to us without works of any kind or any amount. You have this gift because you made a conscience decision to exercise the faith God has given you, to believe and accept the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. That means, you have trusted Jesus who died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures, in other words you have believed the gospel (1Cor.15:1-4). Dont let anyone tell you, you dont have faith or enough faith you have the faith God gave you just because you are a human being a creation of God. Some people talk to you about building your faith, but the bible says not of works lest any man should boast, and to build your faith would require work, any task is working. Faith is the only thing you can do with no work involved it, and faith is the only response that grace will accept. God himself has made a way for sinful man to be saved and this is Amazing grace, Oh how sweet the sound that has saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now Im found, was blind, but now I see. Men would like very much to take credit for their salvation and feed their fleshly egos, but there are no bragging rights for them in their salvation, because all boasting belongs to God. Paul writes to us in Romans that when we were without strength, Christ died for us. Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. We are the ungodly in this scripture. My friends, God has left nothing for us to do except to believe the gospel (1Cor.15:1-4), he has done it all, even the faith to believe the gospel is not of ourselves, but is given to us by God. By Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone and nothing else, are we saved, and that is the long and short of the matter. This is the gospel for the Church of today, the Body of Christ: 1Cor 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1Cor 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 1Cor 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1Cor 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: There are several gospels in the Bible but only this one is for you today, faith in, this gospel is the only one that will save the sinner today. You must commit your faith to this gospel and this gospel alone to be saved in this dispensation of the grace of God. Remember, I dont have any faith, is not something God will accept, he has given you faith to believe but he does not make you use it, if, when and how you use it is your choice completely. Besides God is just he would not hold you accountable for something you do not have, if he did that he would not be a God of justice.
