You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.- Matthew 5:43-48 ... but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.- Romans 5:8 Christmas is about God coming into Creation. He loved us while we were His enemies with the gift of His son Jesus to pay our penalty against His Holiness. Because we are justified in Christ, we can love our enemies whole-heartedly.
