You hear so many awesome stories about Wonderful people helping out the homeless but when my Daughter called this morning and shared her story with me tears were brought to my eyes. She works as an assistant manager at a Subway and she opened this morning. 10 mins. After opening a homeless guy came in and ordered 2 sandwiches. He kept looking out the front door because he had a cart full of cans. He told my Daughter his story about how he became homeless and how he has been blessed with all the kind help from others. After my Daughter made his sandwiches she told him she wanted to pay with her own money but this guy refused so he went on his way. A little while later the same guy came in and asked to speak with my Daughter,she went up to him and he handed her a coupon for Victoria secret for a free item in the store,plus he handed her 7.00 in quarters,at first she told him there was no way she would take that from him that he needed to keep his money for when he was hungry again. He looked at her with tears and said that since hes been homeless for 2 years people come up to him and hand him money but they dont listen to his story and she took the time to listen to him and that meant a lot to him so he said he wanted to pay it forward... After they were done talking she went back to work and he left.My Daughter was so overwhelmed to think this sweet homeless guy would give up food money just to make another happy. She told me she feel guilty keeping the money after he refused to take it back so when she gets off work shes going to pay it forward to someone in need.
