You just ever not wanted to obey God? I have and Ive ended up in some pretty uncomfortable places and situations but I did what God said, despite my kicking and screaming and not wanting to. It turned out not only for the good of others but for me as well. Im so in a great place right now-----loving what God is doing despite my thoughts and plans---you see, by now, I thought I would be back home in Vegas. Back at my old church or a new one of Gods leading. But God detoured me and sent me to a place that I never imagined would have the impact it has had on my life and ministry. My obedience to go to Priest Creek MB Church has opened me up to blessings that allow me to easily obey God even more---and to grow stronger, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even physically. Priest Creeks Pastor, Merritt Rhodes, is a man after Gods heart and he teaches the most practical bible study ever. Hes well studied, quite knowledgeable and not all over the place, he has the wisdom of older men and uses a everyday language and simple approach when teaching. Hes been teaching the book of Genesis for about 2 years now. That says something about how in-depth his lessons are. I have much respect for the way He obeys God and yields to the Holy Spirit. I truly havent found myself in a uncomfortable place this time around----I have found myself at home at Priest Creek. I pray that God will take the ministry and all there, to even higher dimensions, and that he continues to get all the glory out of all that is done there. The Priest Creek Church Family is Awesome---awesome people who openly admit their private trials and struggles, they give their testimonies and talk about all they have overcome. they overcome together, there is no one left behind at the Creek---I cant tell you how remarkably genuine everyone has been in their love and concern for me in the short time I have been there. There is just not enough time or words to express my emotions, except GRATEUL!!! I hear so many people talk about being a family but Priest Creek folks are just that---a loving and sincere family of believers.
