You know... Everyday that I am called to counsel a pregnant teen in a High School or every day, Officer Paine calls to tell me another Pregnant woman is in the county lockup, or even after every message I get to help a pregnant woman flee her aggressor, I get a pit-of-my-stomach pain that doesnt away until I see the Mom and hug her. I used to think it was fear of what I was walking into, but it was just given to me that its the very moment that I am connecting with her pain. Its like the cord is formed and the bond is made. Whether its for 10 minutes or the full 10 months, at that very moment, that cord is formed. I said that to say that it was just Ancestrally revealed to me, that there is ALOT of pain connected to us women, in and out of our births and I have to do something to help. Now, I know this may sound like a duh moment, but I have to use this time to stop and personally apologize for any and every pain I may have caused, added to or sparked IN ANY ONE OF YOU....client or not. Whether its from that little belly that I had to refuse to take her case (becasue of dates) to a bellys disappointment that she is too unhealthy for a homebirth or if it is something simple as arriving a few minutes late to an appointment...I want to soulfully apologize to each and every one of you and pray you will truly forgive me. It is not my intention to hurt you with any of that, but its my lifes mission to begin to heal the many pains that are so very evident in this Village. I wish everyone could do this JUST ONCE; I am sure this would begin the healing (or at least the conversation) toward betterment, that ALL of us could benefit from. Im finished; I have to get back to this new belly, but thanks for your time and letting me vent with you a bit more. GOD BLESS you all!
