You know, I came of age during the 1970s at the height of the newly born Feminist era. I never used being a woman as an excuse to get out of anything....until I became a homeowner in Minnesota....and discovered the necessity of snow removal. This morning my caveman Joe all but dragged me into the kitchen by the hair to cook his breakfast. All well and good; I knew the deal when I married an Italian man; if youre his woman, you get your butt into that kitchen and cook for him. However, two hours later, my sweet reward: sending him out into the driveway to do battle with the snow. To do what a man must do. After all, I am but a weak woman, lacking upper body strength, happy to have a man to take care of me. Feminism be damned. Id rather cook breakfast any day than remove half a ton of snow from the driveway.
