You know, I dont understand some people. Last night a comment was made regarding Robin Williams in the negative way, asking what does he have to be depressed about, hes a millionaire. And how ashamed and cowardly he should feel about giving up on his kids, wife, etc. Heres the only thing I will say any further on this. We live in a society that puts our celebrities on giant pedestals, making them seem like they are immortal. The second they seem normal, we knock them off their pedestal and degrade them. We have no right to be passing judgement on anyone. Depression does not discriminate against state of wealth, age, color. It can affect anyone. And while some who battle it can overcome it, its hard for others. We have children who are being bullied for being gay and they are driven to harming themselves and ending their lives. And our first thought is to blame the parents. Hindsights a b**** but we cant pass judgement on what a person felt or was going through. So to the person who called Robin Williams a coward, I dont know what you may be going through, I dont know what youve dealt with, but I will hope that you continue to overcome whatever youve dealt with. And I will continue praying for the families of ALL those whove suffered a loss like this as well as ALL those whove felt that lonely, and that much of a burden, that theyve given up. I will pray that they find freedom and peace. Thats all. End of comment.
