You know I have seen several posts about friendships lately...Ive been struggling with a few friendships that hurt me and I thought the world of them..but, two nights ago, while saying my prayers, it was like a Divine Revelation...I felt God telling me that I am focusing on how they let me down and how absent they have been and I realized...maybe the purpose was for me to be a friend to them, because I know I did my best to love them. I was also reminded that the way I handle the loss of those friendships make a difference as well. Continuing to show love and kindness may be the purpose of that friendship. God told me, you have plenty of friends...those werent about YOU, but about how you could affect them. I hope I show grace and forgiveness and kindness even through hurt. Isnt that what we are supposed to do? The saying that God brings people in and out of our lives for different reasons, sometimes, its not for our benefit, but for theirs....anyway, I hope that is helpful for others struggling...it is for me...
