You know I think I shall take a moment to just let it all hang out for a second. Those of you with no sense of humor or an inability to recognize the ridiculous should probably stop reading right about now. I joined a lot of fb pagan groups. Mostly for reading material and, please dont take offense, but also because I find some of the stuff people post wildly entertaining, as in funny. I have that kind of humor. And also because, occasionally I run up on somebody who is truly in dire straights and in need of serious help. Help of the sort very few can provide. I know them when I see them. Magic is, you see, very real. That is to say you can cast a spell to make people love, hate, go away, come back, die. And more. This I know to be true. I have seen it in action. I know that it is possible to kill in the spirit world and that person will die in the physical. I know you can heal in the spirit world and that person will be healed in the physical. As above so below isnt just a saying. Its truth. Recently I ran up on a post a rather foolish young man made, inquiring as to how to go about summoning a Christian arch angel in order to obtain it as his personal guardian. It made me shudder in absolute fear. Pagans, a lot of them (not all), have forgotten the old ways. They have forgotten the language of the elders. They have forgotten the covenants between gods and men. They have forgotten simple protocol. That, I think, is sad. More importantly, it is dangerous. Why would you summon a thing created to, at its core, kill. A destroyer. A balancer if karma. To be a guardian? I shake my head at this in wonderment. And for just a moment, a small slice of time, I considered giving him the information he sought. But then I remembered that isnt my place to lead a sheep to slaughter. But I did warn him to be careful of which door he knocked upon. You see, he thought it was to time consuming to search for a mentor. He didnt want to make an effort to seek out the knowledge. With great knowledge comes great power and all of it costs great sacrifice to obtain...as it should be. Instead he wanted someone to hand over what takes most a lifetime of seeking to learn. Is it just me or do any of you see the same things today? Pagans unwilling to follow a path to enlightenment and instead begging greedily for the prize for free?
