You know, I think John would be very surprised but happy to see that this page exists and that so many people are still enjoying talking about him and his music is still so loved. The reason I say that is because at one of the Symposiums in the early 90s....maybe 1993, I was backstage on Sunday afternoon, when the symposium was over but there were still people milling around, when one of the security people brought her mother over to meet John.....she was an elderly, very tiny lady and it was obvious that she was so excited to get to meet John. He was very gracious, as always, and when he was shaking her hand, she smiled up at him and said that she was so excited to meet a star. He kind of laughed, shook his head from side to side, and told her that she was about 20 years too late. That almost made me cry because it showed that John really did not consider himself to be a star any longer when anyone who was there would have heartily disagreed with him. I felt really badly for him that he felt that way....but, that is why I think he would be glad that even after all these years since he left us, we all still love and care about him and want to share our interactions with him with others.
