You know I was talking today to friends and telling them if I could put pads on one more time and walk out on the field and play again, it would be my dream come true and the only dream I have ever wanted to really come true in my life with the exception of my new beautiful bride and we are about to celebrate our 1st anniversary on August 5th, but today marks almost 3 weeks since I fell going 18 MPH on my bicycle and bounced 3 times on my left hip and then rode 4 miles back to the truck and when I stopped, I knew something was terribly wrong, however nothing broke. But the Iliac Crest took the complete pounding and the damage was done by the bruising of the bones, deep bruising and to this day I still cannot walk without pain. I am listening to my beautiful wife who takes very good care of me and trying to follow orders, but my mind is not built that way and I feel I should be able to work out my way out of this but when I push waking or anything else, I suffer worse so I am back to doing nothing for a few more days in hopes that I will get over the edge this weekend and start recovering and rehabbing. Priorities change with circumstances is what I am learning as the most important lesson in life as we get older.
