You know, I would shout and enthusiastically say --happy independence day Indians but I wont. Down the years I have realized apart from religion, nationalism has killed more people than people without nations. I do not understand what we are independent of? ●religious conflict is at its potential outburst (with majority of Hindu suffering from Islamophobia..etc ) ●rape, female foetus killing, honors killing of girls, restricted range of expressed emotion described for girls is still blooming like a rich mans bank account..Hell, even something like menstrual cycle is a matter of shame. ●there is absolutely NO TRANSPARENCY in the government.member of parliament has a license to kill, rape, molest, use/abuse of power without any fear of being punished by the very law they are chosen to serve. ●rich is getting richer..poor is getting poor...oh yeah, the middle class (its already beyond words -_- ). ●journalism--a powerful tool of sustainment of democracy.well, indian media sure sustains democracy, but the democratic views of its not at all democratic financial sponsored. ●While the poor bunch of children go to sleep on the streets without food..we have elites intellectuals dinning and corrupting their digestive system in an elite hotel..these are the very intellectuals, who writes about poverty, injustice, inequality, oppresion... So, when someone says--happy independence day ..I smile and say--happy illusion of this illusioned independence. INDIA--a land where its ok to show your disgusting penis while you pee in public while its culturally a violation if a bra strip shows itself accidently by a girl ... ps- i dnt say i hate my country...m a PROUD INDIAN....bt i wish to abolish its evils....and i bet everyone wants that...right....so why dont you start it from yourself....?? CHANGE YOURSELF...,..GRADUALLY.....YOU KNOW YOU ARE MAKING #india A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE..!! oh sorry, btw HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY... :3
