You know, Im not at all what youd call a socialist. Never have been. I dont believe in living for society. Im not a joiner. I dont believe the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Society exists for the individuals living in it, not the other way around. At the same time, individualism is killing this country. The pendulum has swung to far. People dont even think they owe their common man common courtesy. Poor people die, and the rest of us laugh. We say we value work, but when Walmart workers strike because they cant pay their bills on Walmarts full time wage we pour piss on their heads and say its their own fault. A homeless man in NYC saves a woman from an assailant and gets stabbed in the process. Nearly twenty people pass him by as he bleeds out on the sidewalk. Honestly, I think we could use a little more socialism in this country.
