You know... Im writing this with the strong possibility that she will never see it. But that doesnt matter because its whats on my heart. My mothers birthday is today. I dont guess I will get to see her today but I hope she knows I would love to be with her. My mama did such a great job raising us. She was always strong and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed growing up. I know she did without a lot for us although Im sure we were ungrateful and didnt notice. I remember as a kid when I went to my dads she would always go to the grocery. I would always ask her to pick me up some candy. She neer told me why every week I didnt get any but somehow I always knew it was because she couldnt always afford it. Yet she always managed to keep us fed and that was good enough. Ive watched my mom cry at my bedside as I was injured so many times. She was always right there for me. She still is to this day. We always rode horses together and the stories from all those adventures always keeps us laughing. I remember one time she went to the barn to ride her horse and she came back bloody and scratched and bruised. She was the one that kept me from shooting that horse. That horse hurt my mom but she knew the act of forgiveness that I lacked. Of course she didnt fully forgive that yellow mare because she sold it.. Ha ha. But I owe a lot of who I am to the way that wonderful woman raised me. She has been through so much the last few years but she has come out on top and that makes her a hero to me. If I had a dollar for every tear she had fall from her eye for someone else Id buy her that Florida beach house she wants. If I had a dollar for every tear she cried for herself... I couldnt buy her that candy from the store I so often begged for. Anyways I just want to say happy birthday to the greatest woman Ive ever known... And I love you mama. And I just want to say thank you to God for giving an angel to me that I affectionately call my mama. Happy birthday and I love you mama
