You know how some days are more special than others? I had one of those today. Met up with Dewey Boynton, Larry Overland and Gary Miller from MT 1970. Larrys beautiful wife, Carol, left us boys with such a great meal, I almost left a tip. We sat and talked about life and the good old days. Back in 1970, Dewey, Larry, myself and other T-Birds played on a basketball team for the Christ the King Lutheran. Rick Caruzzi, Steve Williams, (RIP), both from 1970 and Jeff Jewett, MT 1972 were also on the team. We took the city championship against 26 other teams that year, beating St Pats (Bellarmine boys) in a three-game final. One of lifes great moments, long ago. If only video tape had been around back then. Today was another one of those special moments. Dewey, Larry and I go back to days at Larchmont Elementary in 1964. We get together every year for a few hours and talk and laugh and try to remember. The stories get better as our memories fade. Priceless. Old friends are the best, especially T-Birds.
