You know how they say comparison is the thief of joy? Let me tell you who else is the thief of joy . Airtel . I try so hard to be a CALM individual but hawa watu wametumwa. Last night I had 52 bob and being that Im a klepto and someone didnt put their phone in their pockets , I bought myself airtime for 1000 bob..that makes it 1052 right? A few minutes later , I receive a text from airtel . Normally I ignore them coz they act like psycho exes texting you 20 times in an hour asking you to make calls in India , sing to become famous , did they leave their favorite socks at your place ...like I said , psycho exes. Anyway being from the hood I always have a 6th instinct when someone is trying to pull a fast one on me. I read the text and its telling me club 10 has been renewed for 200bob. Excuse me. WHAT?? When did I , daughter of Gaita , ever subscribe to something worth 200 freakin shillings?? In what universe ?? I was on Delmonte so I doubt I had drunk - subscribed them (Like how psycho exes drunk text or call you). I immediately called 100...This time I got through in a record 3 minutes and a lovely girl told me she would follow up. I have trust issues so I decided to follow it up by posting on their wall that I was PATIENTLY waiting for feedback. Another lovely girl that I have encountered before was quick to reply my post and ask for my number- which they should have by now coz we have done this dance so many times before. Now comes the crazy part. They insist I , ME , descendant of Wangu wa Makeri, pure bred member of the enterprise , ghetto superstar, subscribed to club 10..Knowing me good people , would I honestly subscribe to a 200 bob offer (is that even an offer) when they have a 20bob offer that gives me 100 mb daily ?? But what annoys me most is how they choose to treat me. Airtel why would you DELETE my post from your wall before solving my issue? As it is right now, its your word against mine . I say I didnt subscribe , you say I did...so what next? Do you now ignore me like Im a nagging ex?? WaIT. Have the roles been reversed ? Am I now the psycho ex stalking you?? I am many things but one thing Im sure of is Im not built for abuse of any kind or abusive relationships. I come from the land of the Iron Lady , it would be such a dishonor if I put up with this kind of nonsense , especially if Im paying for it. You have robbed me my joy, on the Sabbath.
