You know it’s been a bad week when there are more pajamas then work-out gear to launder. The one pair of biking shorts I wore on Tuesday ripped and the zipper broke upon impact from the car – laundering them won’t help. It doesn’t seem right that the repairs to my bike will cost more than the $57.75 ticket the 65 year old, insured woman driver got for “failing to yield/right away left turn.” Since Tuesday I have soaked my bruised and battered body in Epsom salt, put cream on the road rash, and said my prayers of gratitude. Of all the bruises, the one under my chin where the clip of my helmet imbedded upon hitting the pavement is my favorite. It reminds me that HELMETS SAVE LIVES! Be sure you wear one!
