You know... just thinking out loud, which I know is dangerous... but if the FAA was really worried about the safety of the skies after the gifting of multirotors for Xmas, dont you think they would have done more than a nonsensical youtube video? It makes total sense (which is probably why it didnt happen) that they would have laid out a very specific set of guidelines, if not a simple training course, then reached out to AMA fields and hobby retailers who could then hold seminars or classes locally to make sure that the majority of people are at least on the same page. With a little foresight and planning, that could have been handled very simply and effectively, even to the point of advertising, which could have also touched base with those ordering online.
