You know life is funny. Most times one little problem sets off - TopicsExpress

You know life is funny. Most times one little problem sets off more bigger problems and you feel like the whole world is after you. Just relocated family from new York to Texas. Did all that hassles of loading the truck for three days and driving another three days all alone from NY to tx. I envied family because they flew, good for them, hahahahaha. I left before them but we arrived the same day. Our first night in our new place in Houston I had packed my vehicle in front of our garage while we filled the garage with our household load, thinking , yeah new York, to ya face, I have no more packing problems. Now I can pack wherever I want. Look at me now, new York, I can even leave my vehicle in front of my garage with no problem. Next morning after getting little sleep that the hassles of moving into a new place and the twins could allow us, I wanted to drive out to get one or two needed stuff. I went into the garage and lifted the door. My vehicle was gone. I wiped my face and stepped into the ghost line of other garages. No vehicle and mine was not anywhere in sight. First thought, my vehicle had been stolen. I called my agent and was told I couldnt have left my vehicle there even though it was the front of my garage. It had been towed and I was very furious. I was told to look up the number and call the towing company. I did and was told that it would cost me about $250 to get my vehicle back and it would go up every day I left it over there. They didnt give a shit about me just moving in and not knowing the rules of the neighborhood. The lady on the line told me I could file a grievance with the city of Houston but she had finished with me and she hung up. I was mad. $250? Moving from NY had already cost about $4000. Finding a wasted $250 for packing my vehicle overnight in front of my own garage was a very bitter pill to swallow. To make long story short, my brother in law Kentus came to take me to where the vehicle was towed and we got in his car. Then he asked for the address. That was the beginning of a much bigger problem. I stepped out of the car and took out my wallet, found a piece of paper and stepped to the wall to copy the address. I got back into the car and we drove off. Half way down the road I realized I had left my wallet on the car. What! We went back looking but the wallet was gone. I immediately called my bank to cancel my cards and I was told someone already charged one of the cards at a burger king a few minutes ago. Everything was in that wallet, driver license, social security card, job id, credit and debit cards etc. From that moment my trouble was renewed. I couldnt even get my vehicle since I no longer had a valid identification. The company eventually allowed my brother in law to sign an affidavit before they released the vehicle in his name. You see how one little problem leads to another. This is the way Houston welcomed a new yorker. Hahahahaha.
