You know, putting stuff in chronological order is really helpful - TopicsExpress

You know, putting stuff in chronological order is really helpful when writing about history! The reason Ive been struggling so much with a part of this one chapter is that the particular Barton lie Im debunking is a mish-mash of anachronisms on top of the fact that several of these anachronisms would also be lies in themselves even if Barton hadnt used them anachronistically. My debunking of this little bundle of time-traveling lies was turning into a big, long, complicated mess that still wasnt going to clearly explain why what Barton was saying was a load of bull. It finally dawned on me that the problem was that I was trying to debunk the lies in the same non-chronological order that Barton jumbled them up into, when I should have been debunking them in chronological order so that my narrative of the real events isnt jumping all over the place. Once I started rearranging what Im writing into chronological order, the whole thing started coming together and is going to be like five pages shorter than the mess that it was turning into. :-)
