You know, there are a lot of paths you can take in hairdressing. You can choose the editorial scene, own a business, teach for a product company, do hair for celebrities all of which are amazing and really exciting. Or you can do what Ive done for over 30 years , which is to build client relationships one appointment at a time, year after year, trying very hard to make their day a little better. Ive worked in the trenches for years , including styling hair at a nursing home, mentoring young stylists, and teaching in NE Ohio for Paul Mitchell. I am literally at a loss for words , and have a very grateful heart for I had no idea I was even nominated . The timing of this just couldnt be any better. Serendipitous, Id say.
