You know, there are people who do not enjoy their frequent inability to resist temptations, and as such they pray so hard promising the Lord that they would turn a new leaf but only to end up in that very tormenting sin; its like a reflex action. you know why? Ill tell you why Ephesians 5:26 That he might SANCTIFY and CLEANSE it with washing of WATER by the word. That HE might present it to himself a glorious church, having no SPOT; or WRINKLE, or any such thing; but that it should be HOLY and without blemish. The implication of this passage is that our brain needs cleansing, our hearts, habbit, activity, conduct, etc needs cleansing But who is this SANCTIFIER? 1corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and SANCTIFICATION, and redemption The sanctifier is our Lord Jesus and this cleansing begins with earnest CONVERSION. Peter said in the book of Acts, Repent and be converted and ye shall receive the Holy Spirit. Sanctification propels the convert to live in the POWER OF THE SPIRIT and finally end that long struggle to resist temptation. Hes no more feeble, Hes filled with POWER fit to confront the wiles of the god of this world This hymn compressed this message: Jesus only, Jesus ever Jesus all in all we sing Saviour, Sanctifier, and healer Glorious Lord and coming King The CROSS is the solution to your struggle over the flesh and its curse. The Good news is that so long as Christ is still on the throne, surely theres hope. It maybe that you have fallen but Satan is not celebrating yet because he knows that you can still get on your feet and shine forever more. We will make it in Jesus name!!! Amen!
