You know there are so many wonderful things happening around us in Nevis. We sometimes hear so much negativity being spewed that some would think that Nevis is collapsing. But the evidence is quite the contrary. The island is springing back to life. The signs and sounds of progress are all around us. Government revenues are up. Tourism numbers are up. Air traffic is back at our airport. Our students are topping the Federation and featuring in the top 10 throughout the entire Caribbean. Young Rol-J Williams beat the region as did Neelia Jones before him. Nevis is being featured the world over in influential magazines and newspapers. Nevisian students are studying in places as far flung as Costa Rica, Taiwan, England and the USA. Affordable home owners are taking advantage of reduced mortgages under the Governments innovative mortgage relief programme which many said was impossible. Our seniors now enjoy free electricity and water. Our non Nationals are now being treated as fellow humans not criminals. New businesses are opening. New restaurants are on show.
