You know, this is so real. I never really thought about this until a great instructor I had the privilege of learning from verbally beat it into my head when I wouldnt dress for the weather or deal with sickness/pride/whatever it was at the time. I literally want to cry because I think of where I was 2 years ago (when I lived in Spokane and eventually lost my house and stopped going to college) and then 1 year ago after I restarted my life with just Evie and myself and had to make some hard decisions... I shifted my perspective and priorities at the end of Spring Qtr this year at the Falls and I have never done so well in achieving my goals and doing everything I can for Evelyn. I have a great job and Im finally getting to where I am financially stable, Im mentally okay, and Im no longer dependent on what other people think. I feel like I can finally be the right kind of mother that Evelyn needs... and that makes my heart swell. A lot of people influenced this and helped but this one particular message stuck in my head thanks to the caring, no bullshit nature of one great Nathan Lansing. Thanks so much. Sorry for the sap fest.
