You know what I said about enjoying life yesterday? Scrap that for today! Piece of advice: NEVER decide to weight train on a day that you have had massage/foam rolling done. Foam rolling and trigger point methods are also known as Self Myofascial release in which you loosen out the muscle fibres from the tightness and knots created through muscle tears and breakdown from strength training. Ill do a post on it soon. I intended to do some technique work on the clean&jerk and practice the snatch again but found myself in agony to do anything with correct form and slow timing. I instead stuck to some heavy and power lifts as I find them easier, but in general, I felt like crap and I dont recommend it. Managed 4 reps at 120 Kg Back Squat and a couple 80Kg Clean&Jerks As for if youre wondering why or what on earth massage or foam rolling can do for you, and you have been lifting for a while? Prepare yourself for a whole new world of pain and also look out for my next post which will hopefully cover all you need to know! :)
