You know what I think is sad? That society tries to dictate what is good and what is not good. Girls have to be sooo skinny and guys have to be able to bench hundreds and hundreds of pounds. Society tells us that we need to be insecure and then to be confident in being someone whom we are not. But I say that each person has been FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY made, by the God of the universe. That includes you, you who are reading this. YOU have been made so wonderfully. YOU have been made unique. YOU have been made genuine. We waste so much time wanting to look like him or her, we spend countless hours trying to imitate others...and we forget how beautiful we have been made. Yes we have imperfections...but so does everyone. And though we may not always see them, does that make them disappear? No, that is ridiculous...but it comes to show how hard we are on ourselves and also how stupid it is, this idea to look or act like them. No. You are YOU. And I will be so bold as to say that NO ONE could ever do a better job of being YOU. I stand by that. You are each so beautiful. And no, none of us are perfect, but that is the beauty of life, finding the beauty in everything...and that includes ourselves. Though we may not be perfect in our own eyes, that doesnt change the fact that we have been made perfectly by our Creator. Because our imperfections make us beautiful. Our brokenness makes us beautiful. Our strength and our endless fight to overcome and conquer trials in this life, that makes us beautiful. Dont ever forget that one of the most beautiful things you will ever be privileged to gaze upon...is in fact, your very own reflection in the mirror.
