You know what really intrigues me about a show like The Walking Dead? The show is titled The Walking Dead, and the zombies in the show are actually just secondary to the story being told about people that are alive, their journey, their survival, basic instincts, and how people develop bonds when all else seems lost. In the wake of disaster and apocalypse, the survivors have banded together to fend off disease, conflict, and other people who want what they have and are willing to do whatever they want to take it. The title The Walking Dead may have the very least to do with the zombie outbreak that plagues their universe, and more to do with the people that are very much alive that face death every day, and do whatever they can do to survive and protect those that they love. The sheer irony of that is beautiful, because where once the characters only saw death and despair, through the story told, they have become more alive than ever and finding their true purpose. Is the title more about the roaming zombies, or the death of humane society and the structure thereof which encompasses the characters whom are alive? I guess thats for us to interpret.
