You know whats nice in life? To have an improvement in your conditions in life. Im reminded of this by someone who made some comments about pnp HID kits. Presumably all of them. These are evil, evil things unless you put in projectors I guess. Why? Sure, projectors are going to give you 100% of the potential light output. At least in a factory car. There are certainly cars with crap lights with hazy lenses and DOT bizarre patterns that you should avoid putting HID into. I agree. But a lot of cars, newer ones especially that have nice cutoff type beam patterns that can give you excellent light output with a tight pattern. And Im not just talking about DDM. Ive pointed out the truth before. Everyones kids come from China. All of them. And they all use the same jigs to assemble their bulbs into the bases made by the same few companies. There are no poorly manufactured bulbs that fail on assembly. Theres certainly crap out there. But most semi responsible companies supply a bulb that aligns decently to modern reflectors. Its just fact. Is a projector retrofit the way to go? Maybe. Do you have enough money? . Seriously. Its not cheap, with some of the solutions I see you might be better investing that kind of money on trading your car or bike in on a new one. Just being honest. So if you go ahead with projectors, do you have the skill? Ive designed, manufactured and gotten DOT approval on my own headlights. Some of you might remember ProjectorZ headlights for the BMW Z3. Yeah I did that over a decade ago. I might drive a turnip truck. But I never fell out of it. I hope you think about these things guys. There are perfect solutions, there are retrofits and there are perfectly workable solutions for most cars. If you are a perfectionist, good for you. But that doesnt mean the rest of us dont deserve to improve our lives with safe, upgraded lighting. Have a great evening.
