After appearing in the written exam, we wait for the result, in the meanwhile doing nothing. Then looking at the result, we change the optional subjects in a haste (if necessary) otherwise stick to the same ones as before despite scoring low in them. We go for the consecutive attempt and majority of the times, the result of second attempt meets the same fate as that of our first attempt. P.S. I committed the same mistake. The only difference was that I did not know my marks in the written part because I passed in it.
