You know when you get that feeling that things are just not going to go your way and you just wonder if it’s worth getting up in the morning well this weeks been a bit like that! Deano dislocated his thumb during rehearsals for the Ripper last Saturday in preparation for laying the drums down in Ani’s on Wednesday and although it went back in it is still pretty swollen so we thought best leave it for a bit and see if he’s up for doing it this Saturday! I would have caught up with some of the vocals instead but having recently been having a bit of a lung problem that was obviously a non-starter as well! Al was going to go over and do some mixing down on Wednesday to save time but they managed to have a train strike that day so he couldn’t get there either! Liam has an Abscess in his jaw and is now looking like the Elephant man and wouldn’t go out without a bag over his head! Anyway, today we strapped up Deanos hand tighter than an Egyptian Mummy and plonked Kharis behind his drum kit and at about the third attempt he managed to successfully lay down the drum tracks for The Ripper! So the plan is now to get John Merrick to lay the bass track down on Wednesday or failing that for Al to lay down some guitar tracks and we’re away with the mixer again!!!!
