You know when you read something and you can’t tell if your tired heart just stopped or if its beating faster, and for a few seconds, as if suspended between the darkness & the dawn, you feel like you’re floating in that endless river of possibility we all come from, beyond all our masks, and stories, disappointments, hiding places and excuses? If there’s a love-worn cynical in you (like in me), read this… It made me recall what I thought I’d forgotten (or maybe secretly given up on), and feel like it’s okay to want and need and ask it all out of life. If there’s a purpose to art, it’s precisely this: to remind us that we’re alive.
