You know why I dont watch movies like 12 Years A Slave, it feels me with an undying rage. My anger is not for white people or their storied past with my people. It is for all you niggaz who were niggers then and are niggers today. Look at what you niggaz have done with your freedom. Look at what youve become. Every day I hear another nigga tell me how hard it is to survive, how hard it is to make it. I hear niggaz tellin me what its like in the streets, like you niggaz dont know where you came from and what you already endured. There have always been obstacles, there have always been hardships. There has and always will be impossible odds. When once we fought and we died for just the right to stand with our head high, now you niggaz dont stand for shit and you poison your community, families, children and homes with ignorance. You yourselves are slaves, slaves to your lack of ambition and inner strength. You niggaz are slaves to your misguided sense of image and self. The conviction that survived hundreds of years of slavery, jim crow and the like are lost and all I see is a bunch of lazy, worthless niggaz. All I see is how far weve fallen and what I dont see is an answer.
