You learn amazing things when random organizational bugs strike. Tonight has been most informative. First, as many of you know my husband thinks that using a standard screwdriver is just this side of barbaric, hence our owning two electric screwdrivers. I will now tell you that when trying to screw one one inch piece of wood to another one inch piece of wood an electric screwdriver is crap and upon hitting piece of wood number two I had to switch to the manual one anyway. Second, closet rods are at least a foot to short. Yes, I know some of you out there are woefully undertall and for you they may be fine; for someone who is 58 and desirous of a shoe rack to go under the line of clothes, that bad boy needs to be taller because I am losing the top row of shoes under blouses and skirts. And third, it is not until you begin lining your shoes up in beautiful rows, their bright colours reminding you of the blooms of spring flowers, that you have to realize and wonder.... Why the hell do I need seven pairs of rope covered wedges? In my defense they are all lovely and different colours however I am still questioning my sanity. On the plus side, if you wear a womens 11, get ahold of me in about a week, there will be a box of shoes that needs to be rehomed.
