You may have heard something about the drought California is in. The first image shows Folsom Lake as it was mid January, the bottom photo is what it normally looks like. No boats at this marina! Folsom Lake was created in 1955 with the construction of Folsom Dam. Currently, it is around 15% capacity and the lowest in at least 35 years. With daily temperatures in the 70s and no rain in sight, it doesnt look like its going to get better anytime soon! Times like this provide an opportunity for people to really consider how they can conserve. One might even find themselves motivated to fix those leaks, put the sprinklers on timers, use that towel twice, replace the lawn with native plants and/or decorative rocks, use a broom instead of the hose to clean the driveway.
